The Dell celebrates success in CQC Report

The team at The Dell Care Home were delighted to receive such an impressive CQC Report that rated the home ‘good’ in all areas demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for residents which are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

The inspectors were full of praise of the caring way that people supported in the home were treated with kindness and respect. Comments received from residents included "All the staff seem are brilliant. They know me and are very good” “The staff call me by my first name. They are all friendly. I can ask them to help and they do”.

Inspectors also commented on how kind and caring staff were to people in the home and it was clear to them that staff knew people well. During the inspection, they saw staff stopping and talking to people as they passed their rooms. They were particularly impressed that the staff asked for consent from people before supporting them, clearly explaining to people what they wanted to do and why.

Anne Bannon, manager at The Dell Care Home said: “I am extremely proud to be the manager of a team who has worked hard to get the home where it deserves to be. This result is a testament to the teamwork and dedication to ensure that our residents have the very best we can give them.”
